Among the oldest wineries on the northern side of Etna, we find Calabretta, a company founded in 1900. The various phases of the work carried out strictly by hand in order not to alter any balance of nature, spontaneous fermentation in the underground cellar, these dream are the fundamental ingredients that this cellar certified organic has adopted to produce its wines. To this are added a part of the eighty-year-old vines with which the excellent Vigne Vecchie is produced.

Vigne Vecchie 2010
Nerello Mascarese 95%, Nerello Cappuccio 5%, Red IGT, Alc. 14.5%, bottles produced 20,000 Deep and bright garnet dress. On the nose stands a refined range of coffee, dark chocolate, licorice and nutmeg. Followed by cherry jam, dried plum, undergrowth and hints of eucalyptus. At the sip the velvety tannins stand out, with a savory vein that perfectly balances the alcohol content. Very long persistence. It rests for 7 years in large Slavonian barrels.
